Supreme Kareem!

SUPREME KAREEM!

As a Bruce Lee fan and collector, I have always had 2 goals to achieve. I've always said that someday I will possess an authentic signed Bruce Lee photo, letter or a signed check. My second goal was to someday meet my second favorite hero of all time, the incredible Kareem Abdul Jabbar.

I can say that one of my goals and dreams has finally come true and achieved: I have finally had the honor and priviledge of meeting the greatest athlete of the 20th century, the master of the "SkyHook", the "King of Basketball", the one and only, the ilusive: Kareem Abdul Jabbar!

I've worked for years as a security officer at the Olympic Tower which houses the New York NBA headquarters and although I have met many of yesterday's and today's NBA stars no one comes close to the sheer magic, genious and generosity of Mr. Kareem Abdul Jabbar. He is a "true human being". Mr Jabbar is an LA Times and NY Times bestseller, Jazz historian, African American historian, martial artist, and actor. It would take me about 2 dozen websites alone to list his historical basketball career and achievements and I'm sure that the sports world is aware of that. Mr Jabbar has met with presidents and world leaders and many are aware that he is a living legend!

I had the opportunity to meet Mr Kareem Abdul Jabbar through a great friend of mine Mario Argote. Mario had mentioned to Mr Jabbar that I was a fan of both him and Bruce Lee and I almost fainted when I received a signed and very rare photo from Mr Jabbar himself! - I couldn't sleep that night because I must have STARED AT THE PHOTO FOR HOURS!!!!

Throughout the 3 years that I have seen Mr Jabbar come into the building, I have gained the courage to ask him to sign my "Game of Death" memorabilia and he has always been generous to do so. Sometimes it's hard for me to even speak to Mr Jabbar because he is such an icon that I literally "tremble" when I see him!!! - He is just an incredible human being and one that I hold deep in my heart for all he has done for me. Maybe the next time I see him I will build the courage to ask him to pose with me for a photo (I'll keep my fingers crossed!).

I can't help but stare at my Kareem Abdul Jabbar "Game of Death" memorabilia and still cannot believe that I have met the greatest athlete of all time! - One of my 2 goals has been fulfilled: meeting Kareem Abdul Jabbar. Surely people want to meet "Air" Jordan but the "Air" must bow down to the "Sky" and I'm talking about the MASTER and INNOVATOR of the SKYHOOK: Kareem Abdul Jabbar!!!!

I also want to acknowledge and give endless thanks to the lovely and kind Miss Deborah Morales who has been kind and generous to ask Mr Jabbar to sign my much beloved memorabilia. To my great friend and the man who made it all possible from the very beginning: Mario Argote..... I owe you forever!!!!!

And now I must work hard to achieve my first goal: To find an authentic Bruce Lee signature to complete my collection. It may take days, weeks, months or even a few years but I know for a fact that I will someday possess an authentic Bruce Lee signed photo, letter or check....the battle is on!!!!!
