I am a huge fan of Steve "The King of Kool" McQueen. The man was fearless and straight forward. McQueen studied under Bruce Lee and Bruce once said that out of all his students Steve had the "guts" to succeed. Bruce also said that Steve was a "son-of-a-gun" meaning that he never backed out of life's challenges and always lived on the edge! Steve was superb in "The Great Escape". This film is regarded by many as Steve's masterpiece (my personal favorite of McQueen's films is "Papillon" and "The Getaway") but I have to agree that the "Great Escape" is one of his most exciting works. The "Cooler King" lives forever!!!

Steve McQueen's "Wanted: Dead or Alive" TV series will always remain my second favorite TV show (The Green Hornet being first!) and his character "Josh Randal" was played to perfection. This bounty hunter of the old west was suave, polite and generous but....don't mess with the man and his "mare's leg" (an 1892 Winchester sawed - off shotgun). Most of the time he gave his reward to the poor and needy.

Toys McCoy is a japanese based company that holds the rights from the McQueen estate to produce  4  figures from McQueen's 4 films (Wanted: Dead or Alive, The Hunter, The Great Escape and Junior Bonner). They are in my opinion the best of the best!!!
